How Does Solara’s Veterans Program Differ from Others?
Our program is uniquely designed with Indigenous-based holistic healing methods, including sweat lodges, smudging ceremonies, White Bison/Wellbriety groups, and ancestral cuisine, combined with evidence-based mental health treatments. This integration respects cultural traditions while providing comprehensive care for PTSD, military sexual trauma, substance use disorders, and other mental health challenges.
What Types of Therapy are Offered at Solara?
We provide a range of individual, group, and family therapy sessions, including three one-on-one therapy sessions per week and 3-5 small group therapy sessions per day. Our program also features Indigenous experiential activities, holistic treatments, and psychiatric care to ensure a well-rounded healing process.
What is the Role of Indigenous Healing in Recovery?
Our approach recognizes the importance of cultural identity in the healing process. We incorporate traditional healing practices such as talking circles, storytelling, and PowWow outings to foster community, resilience, and connection. These methods work alongside clinical treatments to support long-term recovery.
